KeepOne Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

KeepOne does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data.

1. Nothing leaves your PC

KeepOne makes no network connections of its own. It has no account, no sign-in, no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising and no update check.

2. What stays on your PC

To make the next scan faster and to let you undo cleanups, KeepOne keeps a local index of file paths, sizes, dates and content fingerprints (hashes) for the folders you choose to scan, plus a record of each cleanup. These are stored only in KeepOne's own app data folder on your computer. You can clear the index at any time in Settings. Uninstalling KeepOne removes them.

Files you remove into KeepOne's quarantine folder (in your user folder) are your own files, so they are kept if KeepOne is uninstalled.

3. Error logs

If KeepOne hits an unexpected error, it writes a short technical log to its app data folder on your PC. The log is never sent anywhere.

4. Microsoft Store licensing

To check whether you have bought the one-time upgrade, KeepOne asks Windows for its Microsoft Store licence. That check is performed by Windows and the Microsoft Store under Microsoft's own privacy statement; KeepOne receives only whether the upgrade has been bought.

5. Reviews

If you choose to write a review, the Microsoft Store's own review window opens. KeepOne does not see or send what you write.

6. Permissions

KeepOne asks for access to the file system so it can scan the folders you choose. It never reads files outside the folders you select, and never reads or opens cloud files that are not downloaded to your PC.
