GlowCompare Skincare Tracker for Windows
Effective date: August 14, 20261. Overview
GlowCompare Skincare Tracker ("GlowCompare", "the App") is published by Dhinova Tech ("we", "us", "our"). GlowCompare helps you track your skincare progress by taking selfies, comparing photos over time, managing skincare routines, tracking products, and optionally receiving AI-powered skin analysis.
We built GlowCompare with a privacy-first architecture: your photos, routines, product shelf, and conversation history stay on your device. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not have access to your data.
2. Data we collect
The following table summarises every category of data GlowCompare processes, where it lives, and how long it is kept.

3. Where your data is stored
All persistent data — photos, the SQLite database, settings, and chat history — lives exclusively on your PC in your Pictures\GlowCompare folder and the app's local settings container managed by Windows. We do not operate cloud storage, user accounts, or server-side databases for user data.
The in-app backup and restore features copy data within your local Pictures folder. No data is uploaded to any remote server as part of backup.
4. AI-powered analysis
When you choose to use an AI feature — such as comparing selfies, scoring skin metrics, or chatting with the AI skincare expert — the selected photos and your text prompt are transmitted to Google's Gemini API through a secure Cloud Run proxy operated by us.
Key points:
• Photos are sent over HTTPS and are not stored on our proxy server — requests are forwarded in real time and discarded immediately.
• We use Google's paid API tier. Under Google's API Terms of Service, paid-tier data is not used to train AI models.
• Only photos you explicitly submit for analysis are transmitted. Photos in your gallery that you do not select are never sent anywhere.
• If your age has been provided, it may be included in the prompt context to enable age-appropriate advice. No other personal identifiers are sent.
Google's processing of data sent to the Gemini API is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Gemini API Terms of Service.
5. In-app purchases
GlowCompare offers optional AI credit packs through the Microsoft Store. All purchase transactions are processed entirely by Microsoft. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information, billing address, or Microsoft account details.
Credit balances are stored locally in your app settings. If you delete your app data, purchased credits that have not been consumed will be lost — they are digital consumables and are not restorable.
6. Camera & photos access
GlowCompare requests access to your webcam for taking selfies and to your Pictures Library for storing and managing selfie photos. These permissions are used solely for the core functionality of the app.
You can revoke camera access at any time through Windows Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera. Photo library access is managed by Windows based on the app's declared capabilities.
7. Notifications
GlowCompare can schedule local toast notifications to remind you about morning, daily selfie, and evening skincare routines. These reminders are:
- Entirely local — scheduled through the Windows notification system
- Opt-in and configurable in the app's Settings page
- Never used for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes
No push notification service, remote server, or third-party messaging platform is involved.
8. No analytics, ads, or tracking
GlowCompare does not contain any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash-reporting services, or third-party tracking code. We do not collect telemetry, usage statistics, device identifiers, or any form of behavioural data. There are no ads in the app.
9. Children's privacy
GlowCompare is a general-audience cosmetic tracking tool. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The optional age field enforces a minimum value of 14. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can advise on removing it.
10. Your rights & data controls
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full and immediate control over it:

View your data: Open the
Pictures\GlowComparefolder to see your photos and database. - Delete all data: Use the "Delete all my data" button on the Settings page to erase every photo, routine, product, chat message, and skin score. Purchased AI credits are preserved.
- Export / back up: Use the in-app backup feature to create a local copy of your database and photos.
- Uninstall: Removing the app through Windows also removes app settings. Your photos in Pictures\GlowCompare persist until you manually delete the folder.
Since we do not store your data on any server, there is nothing for us to delete on our end.
11. Security
All network communication with our Cloud Run proxy uses HTTPS (TLS). The proxy authenticates requests using a shared secret and employs rate limiting to prevent abuse. The app supports Windows Hello / biometric lock for on-device access protection.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
