GlowCompare Skincare Tracker for Android
Effective date: August 19, 20261. Overview
GlowCompare Skincare Tracker ("the App") is published by Dhinova Tech ("we", "us", "our"). GlowCompare helps you track skincare progress by taking photos over time, comparing them side by side, managing routines and products, and optionally requesting AI-powered skin analysis.
The App is built to keep your data on your own device. We do not operate user accounts for it, and we cannot see what you store in it.
2. What the App handles
This table covers every category of data the App processes, what it is for, and where it ends up.
| Data | Purpose | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Progress photos | Visual before/after comparison | On device, in the app's private storage Local |
| Skincare routines and product shelf | Reminders, PAO expiry alerts, conflict warnings | On device, local database Local |
| Notes and metrics | Your own progress records | On device, local database Local |
| AI analysis requests | Producing the 7-metric skin report you asked for | Sent to Google Gemini for processing; see section 5 Leaves device |
| Purchase records | Delivering the credits you bought | Held by Google Play, not by us Leaves device |
3. Where your data is stored
Everything marked Local above stays in the App's own storage on your device. We run no user database and no cloud sync for it, so there is no copy of your data on our side to lose, sell, or be compelled to hand over.
Uninstalling GlowCompare through Android removes the app's private storage directory and every photo, routine and note held in it.
4. Permissions
The App asks for the following, and nothing else:
- Camera — Taking progress photos inside the app. Frames are never streamed anywhere; a photo exists only once you save it.
- Photos / media — Importing an existing photo you choose, and saving comparisons you export. We can only see the files you pick.
- Notifications — Routine reminders and product expiry alerts, scheduled locally on your device.
You can review or revoke these at any time in Android Settings → Apps → GlowCompare → Permissions.
5. Third-party services
These are the only third parties the App can send anything to, and each one is listed with what triggers it.
Google Gemini — When - and only when - you request an AI skin analysis or use the AI chat, the relevant photo and your question are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the response. This is the one feature that leaves your device, it is never automatic, and the rest of the app works without it. Their privacy policy.
Google Play Billing — Processes credit purchases. We receive confirmation that a purchase succeeded; we never see your payment details. Their privacy policy.
6. Purchases
GlowCompare sells one-off AI credits through Google Play Billing. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy.
7. Analytics, ads and tracking
The App itself contains no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell to anyone else.
This is separate from the website you are reading now, which does use analytics with your consent. That is described in the website privacy policy.
8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the App holds no accounts and transmits no personal data to us, there is no record on our side to delete.
9. Your rights
Because your data never reaches us, you exercise your rights directly and immediately, without asking us first:
- Access and portability — your data is in the App on your device; export or copy it whenever you like.
- Erasure — delete entries in the App, or uninstall it, and it is gone.
- Objection and restriction — revoke a permission in your system settings and the corresponding feature stops.
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK and want to raise something under the GDPR, write to us at [email protected] and we will answer.
10. Security
The App is distributed only through Google Play, which signs and verifies every build. Install it from anywhere else and we cannot vouch for what you are running.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how the App handles data, this page changes with it and the effective date above moves. Material changes will also be noted in the App's store listing release notes.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy, or about anything the App does with your data: [email protected]. We read everything sent there.
